Alek was respected among the order and I shoved his pride down his throat, but I knew he deserved it. Although I understood why he gave his lecture, Alek spent more time trying to peal to others than studying the strategy behind his goals. Shrouded in Darkness: Ch 18I’ve never personally spoken to Council Member Atris before, but I've heard that she had an arrogance that put even Master Vrook to shame. I had very little desire to speak with her, but there was no way around it. Although I could remind myself that her opinion of me was irrelevant, she had authority and I did not. She also had a means to influence my fate.   
I looked over her records once and I was most unimpressed with her 'accomplishments'. On the surface, she seemed like an ideal Jedi, but she was so committed to the code that she seemed to ignore everything that made it work... at least it’s what I’ve been told Shrouded in Darkness: Ch 18

Fewer People and More Conflict

Well it's been a long time since I updated my journal and a lot has happened since then. Maybe if I write it all down, I might make sense of it.

First off is that my sister is now happily married. My father is halfway to dying a happy man. Guess what the other half must be?

Well as glad I am to have my sister now independent and I think very highly of her husband. She has gotten a full time job... finally. After eight years of Plattvile university, UW Whitewater, and Madison Media institute; she landed a job at a Target. Yeah... all those years of college really paid off. At least he's a fairly decent breadwinner and as long as she can pull her weight, they should be fine.

My Mother has been having a difficult time in her occupation. Now that she's getting closer to that age where people retire, a lot more pressure has been put on her than ever before. They want her to quit early so they can replace her with someone who they can pay half her salary. So she's under a lot of stress to figure out if she could make a case that she's being discriminated by her age. At the present time, she's in the mindset that this is her last year at her job of 30 years.

My Father is now under a lot more stress because he'll be the only one bringing in money and is putting a lot more pressure on me to get the fuck out of there! I know that I'm there because he and my mother are allowing me to stay at home until I finish my education, so it's hard to stand up for myself when 'I do something wrong.'

Just this morning, I made some gesture... one I would have done had I been alone... and my father takes it as an insult to him. He ranted on about how much stress he has at his job... how the fuck do you think you can judge me?! And then exponentiated how I didn't do anything to help him or my mother with the property... always referring to one or two times I forgot to take out the trash or clean the dishes... and I don't do anything at all. How dare you?!

So I'm angry, but I can't resist, because it would just act as positive feedback... more shouting. So I'm just going to take it, hold my cap in my hands, and ask him to forgive me for stepping beyond the line.

Cool. I'm sure you've noticed I got banned again because I was banned once before (repeat offender) It should have been for a week, but the moderator wanted to win an argument, so she edged the debate so I'd lose.

I know it's not like that, but she was determined to win that argument.

you should really cut down on the arguing.
there's a difference between putting your point across and trying to make people share your opinion.
people just won't have it. lol. i mean, would you change your opinion to theirs?

I wouldn't; because I know theirs is wrong. lol

Well their opinion would require defying physics and that's not likely to happen. I made my opinion based on very strong sources and logic, but theirs is not convincing and have a very limited perspective. I might have if they offered another solution on top of mine instead of one to replace mine altogether as fiction.
